Working with Huguenot Trails
Our clients are people who:
- know what they have
- know broadly what they want
- in consultation with HUGUENOT TRAILS, have a reasonable expectation of what they may gain from working with us.
Our clients are:
- new or established family researchers
- family or lineage associations
- research and/or historical groups
Their need is to have their research developed and expanded to another level of expertise. In this way they have a greater understanding of their family’s history and background. They are willing to collaborate with us to enable us to assess how we can best help them.
Broadly, our clients fall into three groups:
The beginner
Who has some information from their family, access to older family members, records and photographs and who want a well researched basis from which to develop their own investigations. Some of our clients start from the basic question ”Is my name Huguenot/Walloon?” but have little or no experience of research.
The more advanced researcher
Who has taken their research as far as they can and who is now faced with ‘the brick wall’ which happens to all researchers at some time in their careers. This is especially true when all the ‘new sources’ they find just repeat information they already have.
The very advanced researcher
Who has exploited all the primary and secondary records at local and national level, and now needs original research undertaken to prove their European heritage which may enable them to establish links with distant family members.
Are YOU one of those people who we can work with?
